Occupy Yourself Movement: Oct 28th 2011

#Occupy Yourself Movement on Oct 28th 2011

The Occupy movements around the country and the world are garnering overwhelming support from the general populace. While not everyone has the means to physically participate, there is much we can do on a collective level to help bring our point home to global corporate interests. In this spirit, many of us seek non-violent ways of demonstrating our repulsion at the vast control these corporations have garnered while infringing on our civil rights as they wage their global destruction on all that is true and fair. It is one thing to stand in a man’s front yard to demonstrate your dislike for his conduct, but another thing altogether to refuse to participate in the system from which he gains his resources for power. To annihilate a social cancer, you must become willing to starve it. In this light, we have choosen a date for the following activities (or non-activity, as it were):

1) A 24 hour television blackout where all participants willfully keep their tubes turned off. If enough people participate, this could cost corporations millions in lost revenue.

2) A 24 hour retail boycott where all participants agree to refrain from buying any merchandise not directly associated with basic needs, such as food and medicine.

3) A 24 hour employment walkout where participants refuse to attend work, with the exception of emergency services.

4) It has been suggested and bears repeating, all bank accounts that are not absolutely necessary should be closed. If you must retain a bank account, switch to a credit union or smaller locally owned bank.

These are just some of the ways protesters can make an impact from home. Surely, there are many other suggestions we can add to the list as well. And, if 24 hour actions aren’t enough to make a sufficient impact, longer periods of non-compliance should be considered.

A momentum is occurring
People are uniting across the world
They are sending a message
The next step is fast approaching

On Oct 28th 2011
WE SHUT THE SYSTEM DOWN.

For one day we peacefully protest in a symbol that will be felt across the globe.

We step out of the system and step back into ourselves.

Turn off all lights
Unplug all electrical devices
Abstain from using TV, radio and internet or phone.
Abstain from making any purchase of any kind
Choose that morning to cancel any services you feel you no longer need
That morning call in sick to work

Do NOTHING that generates money into THE SYSTEM.

We will send a message
We will unite

Most importantly, for one day…
We live without distraction
Read a book
Meditate
Play
Sing
Dance
Create
Frolic in nature
Love

On Oct 28th 2011
Step out of the system and get back to yourself

Spread the word!
SHUT IT ALL DOWN!

    “OCCUPY”: CALM AND DELIBERATE INTENT
The Occupy Movement is not just on the steps of Wall Street or State Capitols any more. It is the outpouring of cumulative frustration that we all feel as we finally come to terms with systemic greed and the monopolization of power between the corporate and governmental interests.
We no longer believe in giving our authority over to governments or agencies of the government, yet we have become dependent upon them and feel that our authority is gone. We feel betrayed. Our laws, our finances, our food, our water and our security are all under the stranglehold of those who profit from influencing our government and creating an atmosphere of fear and dependence.
The monetary and banking system has always been based on debt and profit. It is the manipulation of our debts, our resources, and our very lives, that go into paying off those debts. Slavery within the semblance of liberty has never served anyone but the masters.
Our laws are reflective of corporate influence and Executive Orders. The Constitution is regarded as a relic. Our Bill of Rights was sacrificed on the altar of false security.
We no longer believe the reasons that were given for going to war. We are outraged that our soldiers are being deployed into wars for corporate profit. And we are sick as a nation over the condition of our veterans and their families. And we all bear the scars of their trauma.
Liberty at home has been replaced with compliance. The War on Terror is the Orwellian forever war that binds us all under constant surveillance and submission.
We are frustrated by the corporate monopolization of the media. We are frustrated by constant censorship of views and data which do not reflect the prescribed consensus reality.
We are insulted by laws that label us as criminal when we speak out for our own freedoms or dare to declare that the government meant to serve us has sold us to the highest bidder.
We can no longer ignore the intolerable complicity from our elected officials in this blatant act of treason nor can we ignore the role we have played by our ignorance and by our compliance. We have all profited from playing our roles and from pretending that the consequences of decisions made on our behalf would not be borne by our personal responsibility.
But we are responsible. We are the ones who must recognize what has been done and despite our justifiable frustration, we must act with calm and deliberate intent. We must expose the corruption and end our compliance with it. We must resist the temptation to act in violence which will give rise to a predictable if not predetermined use of military force against us. But we must act.
We can deprive the banking institutions of our patronage. ‘Transfer all checking and savings accounts to local Credit Unions immediately. ‘Keep our money invested in our community.
We’ll vote our conscience and our freedom with every dollar we spend.
We can boycott monopoly controlled GMO foods. ‘Buy non-GMO and organic food from local farmers. Support small family owned business. Demand the end of government subsidies that support the corporate chemical agricultural model.
Demand the audit and end of the Federal Reserve.
Re must restore the recognition of our rights. Our rights were never granted by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. These documents were the contract which recognized the rights which are inherent in our very existence. This contract must not be broken by Executive Orders from any President or declared null and void by the imitation of law.
Therefore, we must repeal the Patriot Acts and repeal all extra-constitutional and un-constitutional laws which contradict our rights as free persons. Trade agreements that enable global corporate governance and supersede local and national laws must likewise be immediately repealed.
All Law Enforcement and Military must return to constitutionally designated limits. Those among us who serve have an obligation to stand down in the face of orders which conflict with the Constitution or deny the guaranteed rights of any person.
We must practice peaceful non-compliance with demands on our privacy. And practice acts of kindness and patience with those who do not understand the significance of these actions. Holding the modern equivalent of “teach-ins” to educate our families and friends in person and online will help to replace fear and frustration with clarity and resolve.
    Occupy.

Before you go all out in support of this movement, you may wish to consider who is behind it. Check out

Personally, I get a weird feeling from the whole thing.

Being against something is the same plane of consciousness.

Many religions have this teaching built into their lifestyle: Saturdays for Jewish faith, Sundays for Catholics. Unplug from the matrix on these days.

It’s about creating a new matrix, not just unplugging from the old.

A new paradigm is coming, and it’s nothing like we’ve seen before.

    • Gerdi says:

Dharmkaur, you hit the nail on the head, it makes my heart sing, that this consciousness grows.

But to wake them up, you have to address people in their language. To get conscious of what is going on, is the first step to the new matrix

This is definitely work we have to do on individual level. As I listen to people who are bravely acting out for all of us I hear the struggle they have in finding ways to express what all this is about by using old words, isms, and schisms to either separate from something or unite with something. I believe we are witnessing a change and don’t know yet where we’ll arrive and in the process we may create a new language and new concepts that can facilitate the world we want .

    I participate

    • Gerdi says:

I like very much the idea to thwart consumerism, but now I looked at the symbol, the initiators use, the thrown-up fist, and I say NO, NO, NO: communism ist NOT an alternative to capitalism!

We have to learn from both and find a way to act symphonically.
