Being There

Based on Jerzy Kosinski’s satirical novel about an illiterate gardener who has lived his entire life behind the walls of a house in Washington, D.C., this film stars Peter Sellers in perhaps one of his most powerful roles.

His only knowledge of the world comes from the TV programs he watches while resting from his work as a gardener. When his employer and protector dies, he is catapulted into the fast lane of political power by a case of mistaken identity.

If you have seen this film you will know that it is both comedic and profound.
