We use the latest HTML5 protocols to play our original video content as MP4 files with a default fallback to Flash for non compliant browsers. Please update your browser if possible to Internet Explorer 9, Safari 5 or Google Chrome to playback the videos in HTML5 and MP4.
Firefox does not work with HTML5 yet and does not play MP4 files. Firefox will use the Flash player as a fallback which should allow playback on most of the older systems and browsers, such as Mac OSX 10.4. If you have no success, please try using Google Chrome as a back up to determine whether it is your system configuration or our server. Note that Google Chrome is not available on older Macs using the PowerPC processor.
When you are accessing the interviews in MP4 format, it may take a while for the file to load and you can try clicking the Play button to activate it. The great thing about MP4 delivery is that you can forward to any point in the timeline without waiting for download. Just click forward or back and it will continue playing from that point. Note that this does not happen if you are using the Flash files.
The usual problem with any video playing correctly will either be network traffic or a setting within your computer. We have tested the video performance on Mac and PC using all common browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome.
You may have to set your browser cache to Zero Mb in order for the large video files to play all the way through. If the playback stops for and will not go any further even after refresh, it is because the space for files within your browser is full. Please empty the cache (called Temporary Internet Files in IE and some other browsers) and then set the level to Zero Mb and refresh the page.
Please check the settings within other applications on your computer such as anti-virus software, site blocking software and other add-ons that may need to be switched off for our specific web site.
Our site has a subscription and a donation option. Subscribing gives you access to all our original content. You can also give more by donation which can be for any amount and it is tax deductible to US tax payers and may be tax deductible in other countries depending on the laws.
Making a donation only does not give you access to the original content. It is simply a donation and not a subscription. Before donating please ensure that you understand the difference and are not expecting to receive access unless you are already a subscriber.
You can always cancel a subscription at any time through your profile page and receive a refund for the unused balance of your annual subscription (with a one month minimum of $5) or use the remaining balance of time on account. Monthly subscriptions will remain active after cancellation until the end of the paid month and will then cancel at the end of the term.
To cancel your subscription please follow the instructions here.
